From ₦30 Spectator to Champions League Star: Boniface’s Dream Comes True
Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface, has shared how he used to pay ₦30 as a young player to watch Champions League matches. Now, he is fulfilling his dream by playing in the prestigious competition.

Boniface reflected on his journey in a statement shared on his offical X account (@boniface_jrn) on Thursday. The striker expressed his joy at participating in his first Champions League match, where his team secured a 4-0 victory over Feyenoord on Thursday.
The German club, Bayer Leverkusen, signed Boniface from Union SG in 2023, in a deal reportedly worth over €21.7 million.
He said: “From paying ₦30 to watch the Champions League… to playing my first Champions League game.
