President Bola Tinubu is expected to reshuffle his cabinet soon, according to the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Addressing correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, Onanuga dismissed rumours of governmental inactivity, affirming that significant progress has been made in economic reforms—though the public may not yet be fully aware of these achievements.

Onanuga added that the President has instructed his ministers to actively communicate their ministries’ work to the public to increase awareness.

“The President has expressed his intention to reshuffle the cabinet, and he will do so. I can’t confirm whether it will happen before 1st October, but it’s certain to take place,” he said.

Expanding on the President’s decision, Senior Special Assistant on Digital Strategy and Communications, O’tega Ogra, stated that it is based on performance reviews, as outlined during a retreat held shortly after the ministers were inaugurated in August 2023. Tinubu had then made it clear that periodic assessments would guide decisions regarding his ministers.
