Super Eagles Win Third Unity Cup Title After Penalty Shootout

The Super Eagles of Nigeria emerged champions of the 2025 Unity Cup after defeating Jamaica 5–4 on penalties in London on Saturday.

The match, held at Brentford Community Stadium, ended 2–2 in regulation time. Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze scored in either half for Nigeria, while Jamaica matched them goal for goal.

In the ensuing penalty shootout, Nigeria converted all five spot-kicks to clinch victory in the four-nation tournament that also featured Ghana and Trinidad & Tobago.

This edition marked the return of the Unity Cup, last held in 2004. The tournament is designed to promote unity and cultural pride among African and Caribbean diasporas in the UK.

The Super Eagles now have three Unity Cup titles, having previously won in 2002 and 2004.
