He credited President Bola Tinubu’s “fatherly intervention” with restoring democratic governance and thanked political leaders, including former Governor Nyesom Wike, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and other stakeholders for sustaining peace.
The governor also expressed appreciation to the Speaker and Assembly members for their cooperation.
Addressing his supporters, Fubara assured them that “not everything is irretrievably lost” and urged leaders to place the common good above personal interest.
“The costly peace is cheaper than the cheapest war,” he said, stressing the need to build a prosperous Rivers State.
He recalled projects initiated before the emergency rule and promised to resume funding them to completion. He also reiterated his commitment to inclusive.
