Paris Saint-Germain have claimed their maiden UEFA Champions League title in emphatic style, demolishing Inter Milan 5–0 in Saturday’s final at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Luis Enrique’s youthful side delivered a stunning performance, with 19-year-old Désiré Doué scoring twice in a night that saw the French club record the biggest victory margin in a European Cup final.

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring against his former club in the 12th minute following a slick move involving Vitinha and Doué. Eight minutes later, Doué’s deflected shot doubled PSG’s lead as the French champions seized control.

Inter, aiming for their first Champions League crown since 2010, were completely outclassed. Doué struck again on 63 minutes, before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Senny Mayulu added further goals to complete the rout.

The result marks the most one-sided final in the competition’s 70-year history and underscores PSG’s emergence as a force in European football following years of heavy investment by their Qatari owners.

This is only the second time a French club has lifted the Champions League trophy – Marseille were the first in 1993, coincidentally also in Munich.

It also adds a second title to coach Luis Enrique’s record, having previously won the competition with Barcelona in 2015.

With Kylian Mbappé’s departure at the end of last season, PSG’s new-look side has flourished. Doué, who turns 20 on Tuesday, was the standout performer, delivering a display of maturity and quality far beyond his years.

Inter’s only notable chance came when Marcus Thuram narrowly missed with a header, but their ageing squad struggled to cope with PSG’s pace and movement. Their campaign ends without silverware, having also missed out on the Serie A title.

Yann Bisseck’s injury shortly after coming on compounded their misery. PSG, meanwhile, finished the night with five goals – matching a feat last achieved by Benfica in the 1962 final.
