Arsenal F.C. were crowned Premier League champions on Sunday after defeating Crystal Palace F.C. 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

Mikel Arteta’s side secured their 26th victory of the title-winning campaign through goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke.

Jean-Philippe Mateta scored for Crystal Palace, but his effort was not enough to deny Arsenal victory or dampen the celebrations.

Arsenal had already been confirmed champions on Tuesday night after Manchester City failed to defeat AFC Bournemouth, leaving City four points behind before the final round of matches.

The title is Arsenal’s 14th English league crown and their first in 22 years, having last won the competition during the 2003/04 season.

Arsenal will now turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League final, where they are set to face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in Budapest on May 30.
